I went to school with Danny Mcguire who lived just off the alum rock road. I used to share his pushbike with him to get a lift part the way home at dinner times. I knew he was keen on music when we were at school. Danny was also a very good footballer. We both left school at 15 years of age and went our separate ways. I did not know he was in a group until I stumbled on it looking at Birmingham groups. I was saddened when I discovered that he had passed away,
I saw Ghost once or twice in 1970, in particular at The Parisian in Cannon Street, a pub with two levels and a stage on the lower level. I met and became an acquaintance of Charlie Grima the drummer. ! was 20 at the time, and had the nickname ‘Jesus’ due to my appearance. Saw many fond memories of this group, the venue and the other acts I saw there. The only downer being that I was at the Parisian when I learned of Jimi Hendrix’s death..It ended a sad night!
