Gerry Levine and the avengers were a really good rock band, they played at the west end ballroom most Saturday lunchtimes. Jerry Levine’s name is or was Michael Gibbs. For a short while he worked for the prestigious furniture store Kean & Scott in corporation street, where I worked in the early 60’s. l think he was a porter.
