A seminal club, located in the Grade II listed Methodist Central Hall on Corporation St. The Que Club hosted live music but was perhaps better known for its dance and rave music culture.
Hi, just wondering where I can get a copy of that picture of the club please. Holds many good memories and would like to print and frame for my dining room wall.
Always loved the “Atomic Jam”. Even before the “God is a DJ” music track, I fondly remember taking a break from dancing, sitting in the upper seating area in early hours, having a break with “flapjack
breakfast” thinking ” This is the best place, and best way ever to spend a Sunday morning”.
Anyone else.with memories. Anyone else who “danced in the new millennium” here on New Year’s Eve 1999
I saw Martin Stephenson (Martin Stephenson and the Daintees) play a solo acoustic gig at Central Hall, not sure if it was the Que Club then. It wasn’t great and I remember leaving and going across the road to what I think was Fibber McGees (used to be Hawkins Wine Bar) where there was a band playing who were pretty good.
