A legendary ‘toilet circuit’ venue on the Alcester Rd, Moseley. This really was the central point for indie bands in Birmingham for a long long time. From Oasis and the Verve to Snow Field (Editors) and My Dad Hitla it was a place of cheap drinks and brilliant music. Long time promotors here were Dave Travis and Arthur Tapp. Sorely missed venue and one deserving of a proper entry write up!
Joaura Woodward was a regular at the venue and kept a number of flyers and set lists from the bands she saw there. Jo has sent these into the archive so enjoy, and please help tag bands, dates or add your memories if you were at these gigs or other gigs you went to.
Thanks to Time Scrimshaw for these two flyers of Box Em Domies and Fresh Hope night

A breath of fresh air when this opened for gigs … away from the city centre. Cheap and cheap full and memories of Oasis / Placebo / Tripping Daisy amongst others.
A great upstairs gig room with a very low stage… always remember Oasis walking on stage … so many jaws dropped, could feel the energy in the room!
The sort of thing they had on back in the day
