Hi, I remember Ion Mistress, very well, I was one of them !tFhanks for your men’s Sue xxx FB ?
Yep, quality band x
That’s another story to tell my kids
I remember the ‘Mistress’ too! That weird gig at the Quaker Hall in Town where the MC introduced the band as “Iron Maiden” for example! (Some bugger did alright with that name!) The dry-ice fiasco at Bogarts! Manager Pete with his ‘Arthur Daly’ sheepskin coat! (He was still wearing it decades later when I bumped into him at that pub on Six Ways that’s now a Tesco’s!) Post gig curries at the Dilshad etc. Happy Days! So, where’s the gang now? Special mention to Pat Blake (nee Cambridge) and hubby Mick. If you’re out there, give us a shout! Me? Married with four kids and been living in the tropics the last 25 years! Anyway, nice to skip down memory lane and remember the Tuesday (?) band practice upstairs at the Railway!
Peace to all,
Steve W.
