Celebrating Birmingham's Popular Music History
I was one of the road crew for echo base,
along with Paul Williams (Gog) who Sadly passed
Away in 2015, they were a great band & were destined
For big things, but unfortunately disbanded due to disagreements
Within the band, just as they were on the cusp of breaking big.
I’m still in touch with a couple of members to this day, although
Jimmy lynn who founded the band seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth.
Hey Barry, great times with Echo base and so sorry to learn of Gog’s passing. I often wondered what became of Gog. Road crew were brilliant, I remember scan too. I think in the last 20 years or so I’ve only been able to have a contact with Les, Anthony and Helen but since I dropped FB no contact at all. Often think about Simon and his guitar, Anne, Oscar and whatever happened to Gary. These were good times with so many good people, parties. I lost Daniel a couple of years ago. Long live Echo Base. Peace
